COMMUNITY ACCESS PROGRAM (CAP)
Computer Lab The Centre is part of the Community Access Program (CAP), which is a Government of Canada initiative, administered by Industry Canada, which aims to provide Canadians with affordable public access to the Internet and the skills they need to use it effectively. With the combined efforts of the federal, provincial and territorial governments, community groups, social agencies, libraries, schools, volunteer groups and the business community, CAP helps Canadians, wherever they live, take advantage of emerging opportunities in the new global knowledge-based economy. Under CAP, public locations like schools, libraries, community and senior centers act as “on- ramps” to the Information Highway, and provide computer support and training.

Working with computers
'Hi, my name is Jon, and I am the Computer teacher of the Morden Friendship Center. If you have questions, or want to learn more about your computer or how to work better with your computer, give the Morden Friendship Center a call, 822 3555, and they will direct you to me. You don't need to be a senior, this program is open for everybody. My goal is to solve your problems, answer your questions and direct the lessons in a way, that is best for you. Most of the time I would like to meet with you one on one at your computer in your home, where it is the most comfortable for you to learn and work with your computer. I hope to see you soon
